A flash mob with an important message in Lancaster County. Students and community members gathered on the Campus of HACC-Lancaster for one billion rising. It’s a global movement to end violence against women and girls. The group spread its message with a specially choreographed dance and a video of men around the world pledging to change the culture of violence against women. Thousands of similar flash mobs also took place around the world. “One Billion Rising” comes from the staggering statistic that one in three women on the planet will be beaten or raped in her lifetime.
