“For the past twenty years, I was honored to serve my fellow York Countians at the national and state levels of government,” Platts said. “Whether it was my twelve years in Congress or my eight years in the State House, I always sought to be worthy of the people’s trust and support. It is now my hope to serve my fellow citizens with the same level of dedication and commitment at the county level of government. I am confident that my legal education and experience, extensive legislative background, and broad life experiences have well prepared me to be a thoughtful, fair-minded, and effective judge.”
A life-long York Countian and licensed attorney for approximately twenty years, Platts graduated 10th in a class of 232 from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1991. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Shippensburg University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration. Platts is also a 1980 graduate of York Suburban High School. Prior to being elected to the State House, Platts began his legal career as an attorney with the law firm of Barley, Snyder, Senft & Cohen.
Platts stated that he intends to conduct his traditional grassroots campaign and will continue to refuse campaign contributions from special interest groups (PACs). Platts will rely solely on the support of individual citizens. Platts plans to announce his campaign committee leadership team in the coming weeks.
