A Dauphin County mother and father are behind bars charged in the brutal beating of their 8 week old baby. 18-year-old Chelsea Cormack and 19-year-old Brett Bhoner, who both live in the 200 block of East Sprunce Street, Williamstown, were charged Thursday afternoon by Pennsylvania State Police with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The extend of the baby’s inuries were discovered on Wednesday when Cormack and Bhoner took the child to the emergency room at Hershey Medical Center for treatment. The infant sustained multiple broken bones, including a broken femur, collarbone, ribs and blistering on the bottom of her feet. The child reportedly suffered the injuries over a course of approximately five weeks. ER doctors alerted State Police at Lykens.
Thursday morning the couple were interviewed at the Lykens barracks. Brett Bhoner admitted to breaking the baby’s leg on February 12, 2013 while changing her diaper. Following arraignment the couple was sent to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail each.
