Danica Patrick has made history in NASCAR, becoming the first female driver to win the pole at the Daytona 500.
Patrick went out eighth in the qualifying session Sunday and covered the 2½-mile superspeedway in 45.817 seconds, averaging 196.434 mph.
Jeff Gordon was the only other driver who topped 196 mph. He will start in the front row with Patrick.
The rest of the field will be set in duel qualifying races Thursday.
You can see the Daytona 500 on FOX43 WPMT, starting at noon on Sunday 2/24.

That is great but the question is will the other drivers work with her or hang her out to dry?
