TE Connectivity, formerly known as Tyco Electronics, is laying off about 80 workers. The affected workers are from the Harrisburg and Middletown areas in Dauphin County. They were told Tuesday morning. A company spokesman tells WPMT that the workers are being offered a severance package and can apply for other openings in the company.
TE Connectivity designs and makes products related to electronic connections for a variety of industries including automotive, energy and industrial, broadband communications, consumer devices, healthcare, and aerospace and defense.
