SUNNY MONDAY: Enjoy the high pressure today, because we’ll see the best weather of the next seven days right here on a Monday. Highs today will hit the middle 40s with wall to wall sunshine; right on target for seasonal averages. We stay clear and cool this evening with temps back into the 30s. Tonight, a few clouds roll in toward daybreak. Otherwise, lows are back into the upper 20s.
WET TUESDAY: A system will race northward on Tuesday, bringing clouds for the morning and rain around midday. The rain will be here all afternoon and evening, tapering slowly overnight. We expect to see a good soaking from this one, with totals of 0.50”-1” possible.
ACTIVE ALOFT: The main system will push out Tuesday night, but we’re left with a broad area of spinning low pressure aloft for the rest of the week. These upper level lows are cut off from the main flow and are notorious for keeping us cloudy and cooler, with showery activity on and off. So Wednesday, we have rain showers possible in the day with highs in the middle 40s. We may see some rain or snow showers continue overnight. Thursday, we see another shot at some rain mixing with a bit of snow with highs in the low 40s. Overnight, a rain snow mix is possible. Friday, it looks like we keep the clouds with a lessened rain/snow chance, but a few drops or flakes make it to the mid-state. Temps are near 40°.
WEEKEND: A pocket of cooler air aloft replaces the low from the week. This will keep us mainly cloudy but cool us off by a few degrees, dumping temps into the mid and upper 30s for both days. It looks mainly dry though.
