Speed may have been a factor in a deadly crash that claimed the life of a York County man on Sunday night. Police say Eric Shafer, of Dover, was behind the wheel when his car went off the road and into a tree along Silver Lake Road in Fairview Township shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Shafer was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger was taken to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing–however police believe speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
