Cumberland County Public Safety Communications reporting a power outage in Mechanicsburg Borough. Traffic lights along Simpson Street have been impacted by the outage. At least 1,300 people are without power at this time.

Cumberland County dispatchers say the outage was caused by multiple blown transformers. Police are in the area directing traffic and warn travelers to use caution when driving in the area. The outage is through PPL and customers can report the outage by calling 1-800-DIAL-PPL.
