Topic: Sex ed in kindergarten?

While most sex education classes are held in fifth grade across the country, Chicago Public Schools are now pushing to start the instruction in kindergarten.  According to school officials, curriculum would be based on the student’s age.  Kindergarten to third grade classes would focus on anatomy and appropriate touching, fourth grade would focus on puberty and HIV/AIDS and fifth grade education would center on human reproduction, contraception and abstinence.  Parents will have the option to take their children out of the classes.  For more information on this story, click here.
