A firefighter was involved in an accident near the crime scene on Mountain Road in Dauphin County. The firefighter, Ryan Boyer, was directing traffic when someone struck his vehicle and it hit Boyer, injuring him.

Boyer was taken to Harrisburg Hospital but there is no word on the severity of his injuries. Alcohol is believe to be a factor in this accident. Boyer was assisting State Police at the scene of an apparent suicide.
