No totally nude dancers will be onstage at Club Good Times in Columbia, Lancaster County.

The borough zoning board voted Wednesday night to deny several challenges brought forth from club owner Richard Fisher that would have allowed the practice.

Fisher sought to allow nude dancing at the club, which currently has partially clothed dancers.

He argued that because there is no other location in the borough that fits all of the distance requirements for this type of adult use that he should be granted an exemption.

But the board found that there is a nearly two acre area in the borough’s industrial district where a nude dancing club could potentially operate.

Cassandra Fisher, a dancer and the club’s manager, declined to comment on the decision and directed FOX43 WPMT to her lawyer.

But people who live near Club Good Times had plenty to say.

“She always said all her clientele comes from York, Lancaster, Reading and Harrisburg. Well, I think that’s where she ought to go, because not once did she mention Columbia clientele,” said Joan Robinson,  who lives across from club and attended the hearing.

“We need to protect our young people,” said Mary Lou Holland, who also attended the meeting. “And if we were to condone just anyway of doing things, the kids think it’s okay and it’s not.”

The club can continue to operate as it has for years with partially clothed dancers, because it was in business before the area was classified as a residential district.
