Credit social media with cracking the case of the stolen Baby Jesus in West Manchester Township, York County. Or rather, credit the mental giant who couldn’t help gloating over his prize by posting a pic of the pilfered effigy to his Facebook account. On December 26th, Frank McKee reported the Baby Jesus figure had been stolen from the private nativity scene in his yard at 2442 Wedgewood Way. Yesterday, McKee reported a picture of the stolen Baby Jesus on the suspect’s Facebook page.

Police made contact with the suspect, described only as an adult male, who agreed to come to the station for an interview. The adult suspect admitted to taking part in the theft and also dropped the dime on his juvenile accomplice, who had the Baby Jesus figure in his possession at his residence on the 1900 block of Filbert Street. The juvenile suspect’s father handed over the Baby Jesus figure to police.

The suspects’ names are being withheld due to further investigation into other incidents.
