Some sunshine sneaks in for the afternoon

WebPHOTO

This Futurecast model shows some sunshine Wednesday afternoon, with mainly dry conditions.

Scattered rain and snow showers, mainly to the north and northwest of Harrisburg, continue to churn to the northeast as of the late morning hours.  By early afternoon, most are on the dry side for the rest of day, with the exception of a few hit-or-miss showers.  Some clearing to the southwest, into portions of Maryland and northern Virginia, will gradually move our way, allowing for a bit of afternoon sunshine for most.  This helps warm temperatures, pushing them into the upper 40s, even lower 50s in some locations.  Any stray shower, however, could prevent temperatures in some locations from reaching their full potential.  Winds out of the west breeze from five to fifteen miles per hour.
