
Police in Derry Township are investigating the armed robbery of the Merle Norman cosmetics store in the Briarcrest Square Shopping Center. Just after 3 p.m., a male suspect entered the store, approached the clerk and demanded she hand over the contents of the cash register.
During the robbery, the suspect stood holding a hammer in the clerk’s direction. The suspect was able to flee the scene with an unknown amount of money. The clerk was not injured during the robbery.
The suspect has been described as a white male, thin build, between 16 and 25-years old, with dark hair, dark eyes and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt at the time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Derry Township Police Department at 717-534-2202.
