The newest viral video craze called ‘Gallon Smashing‘ isn’t getting any laughs from police in Franklin County. Three teenage boys were cited after filming their version at the Food Lion along the 800 block of Lincoln Way West in Hamilton Township on Thursday.
‘Gallon Smashing‘ is the act in which pranksters pretend to trip and fall in a grocery store while carrying milk or juice. The falls are completely fake and pranksters trick bystanders into thinking they are actually hurt.
Benjamin Roschy, 18, of Chambersburg and two juvenile boys were each cited after Roschy intentionally broke two 1-gallon jugs of chocolate milk in the isle of the grocery store.

It's such a waste, with milk almost $4 a gallon. They should be made to clean up the mess and do some community service, maybe serving in a soup kitchen…..

That is ashamed make them pay for the milk and then do community service!

"in the aisle of the grocery store".

Such a shame that adults in a news organization cannot proofread their very very short blurbs before publishing.

Jackasses!!!!! They would be cleaning it up and coming back everyday for a year to the store and doing cleaning as part of their punishment!!!!!! Grrrrrr!!!!!!!

Grocery stores have isles? I think the reporter should have to clean up the mess for that error.

Hmm, could we vacation on one of those grocery "isles"?

No, No the store is located on the Isle of Grocery. I believe it's located in the Susquehanna river.

Oh yes. I've been there. Lot's of produce grows there and some cows and chickens roam around.

Apparently these individuals were not raised in homes where children were taught the difference between right and wrong. This was definitely WRONG!

Waaaaaaaaaaagh I'm old and nothings funny! Get a life people. They're just being kids.
March 2, 2013 at 5:31 PM
Such a douche. Maybe a flaming poop bag on a door handle of a front door (recent news) was funny, to you too? It would be funny to all of us if these kids threw eggs at your house and soaped your car windows, argsel. You might be the type of person that gives the kids some beer and cigarettes and says have a good time as you leave the house with your prescription bottles sitting on the dining room table.
If they wanted to be "funny" and responsible, they would have purchased the milk, went home and "fell" in their driveway and NOT pretended to be hurt, then cleaned it up.

oh so you think its kool for them too smash gallons of milk , when milk is 4 bucks a gallon , oh their just being kids , well how would you like it if they came too your house and smashed you gallons of milk or bottles of juice or cans of soda , hmm you must be filthy rich and dont care and can afford it ..if i woul;d have ever done things like that as a child i would have paid dearly ..
March 2, 2013 at 2:18 PM
Just being kids doesn't mean that they shouldn't be respectful of others people property. What if an elderly person slipped and fell? It would have been the store that would have taken the responsibility for it. In the long run things like this could cost people alot of money, law suits which raise people's insurance and higher costs for the consumer. So no I do not think this is funny………..

JUST ANOTHER example of the mediocre truth we all face when it comes to 'give me fame' at any cost credo we live in here in america. Tragic. Send these jackoffs to jail for a month or court order them to live overseas and help the poor build shelter or dig wells and then leave them there. Or, give em a gun and send to middle east where they belong.

Send them to the middle east where they belong? Send them to jail?
Okay Mr. Police State, why don't you go cry about Obama for a while?
March 3, 2013 at 9:02 AM
The original pranksters were Muslims "three Vienna, Va., teens – Zayd, Faysal and Omar Khatib"

I am the 18 year old in this article.
I just want to say, is that really necessary?? Send me to jail? To the Middle East “where I belong”? That’s nonsense. I wouldn’t even call it a crime. It was a dumb, victimless prank for laughs, not fame. Honestly, haven’t we all heard the saying “don’t cry over spilt milk”?
This article fails to report on how, immediately after the incident, I offered to pay for the milk. I offered to clean up the mess I made. I know the difference between right and wrong; everyone does. But people still make mistakes. It was a poor decision, yes, but still, I feel it’s really not a big deal. At all.
I’d rather have my son do something simple like this opposed to, oh, say, stealing things from cars (as the juveniles involved like to do), which I take no part in.
I just feel since this article can be published from the law enforcement point of view I would give my side of the deal. That’s all.

send them to jail or shoot them. then we would have to worry about them again. Or send them to jail and tell everyone in jail serving a long term and let them deal with it
