Getting a strike was the goal of folks bowling for the American Red Cross in York County on Sunday.
The 18th Annual Charity Bowl took place at Suburban Bowlerama in Spring Garden Township.
Funds raised from today’s event will go toward Red Cross programs and services for the York-Adams Chapter.
Organizers are always happy to see a large turnout.
“It’s incredible, when I walk in here and the bowlers come in and they’re all decked out, it really is a good feeling to know that people are supporting the Red Cross in the community, and it’s great that they come out and have fun, that’s what we hope happens and it’s great to see that happen,” said Mindy Roadcap, Events Coordinator with the American Red Cross.
Last year, the event raised about 20,000 dollars.
Organizers hope to reach the 25,000 dollar mark this time around.
