Police say a female robbery suspect was shot while she and another man held up a grocery store in York City. The suspects entered the La Familia Store along the 300 block of Prospect Street around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday night. The pair confronted the store owner at gunpoint and demanded cash, police said.
That’s when the owner pulled out his own gun and fired several shots at the robbers. They fled the store with a small amount of cash.
Investigators found the female suspect a short time later–she told officers she had been shot. The woman was taken to York Hospital for treatment.
The male is still at large.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 717-846-1234 or by texting the key word “Yorktips” followed by a space and the anonymous information to 847411 (tip411).

Thanks for changing the street name to Prospect St. from East Prospect St. from the previous story. There is no East Prospect St. in York City despite what some Internet maps say.

Do any employees who are responsible for writing these articles know proper English, spelling, or how to put a complete sentence together that makes sense when it is read. The very first sentence, a female robbery suspect was shot while she and another man (just how many men were their). While I am writing about the proper English of this article or the lack there of what is with the later – she, in my day there could have been a common but I do not see where even a comma is needed. Please get some decent writer's.

Grammar/Punctuation issues with hildebug's post! (Irony is a bitch.)
read?
(just how many men were there?)
thereof
latter, not later
see, not she
comma, not common
writers, not writer's

I'm so glad you pointed out those errors to the obviously uneducated hildebug!! I really hope he/she were not serious about calling out errors on another without proof reading their own!!
