A new program could save your life on the roads in case of an emergency all thanks to a yellow dot.
Penndot’s yellow dot program was created to help people in the “golden hour” of emergency care following an accident when they may not be able to communicate their needs themselves.
Participants complete a personal information form which includes their name, contact information, emergency contacts, their doctors’ names and a photo.
A yellow dot decal placed in the vehicle’s rear windshield alerts first responders to check your glove compartment for this vital information.
