Police are searching for a man after he attempted to rob a hotel in Mount Joy on Monday morning. Officers were called to the Holiday Inn Express along the 100 block of Merts DriveĀ around 8:20 a.m. for a reported robbery.
Police say a man entered the hotel lobby and gave the front desk clerk a handwritten note advising them to empty the cash drawer.
The suspect fled after the clerk told him there was no money in the register. He was last seen fleeing the hotel in a gray blue Chevrolet Cobalt.
The suspect is described as being 5’5″ to 5’8″ in height and between 150 to 180 pounds.
Nothing was taken and no weapon was displayed during the incident.
