You will soon be able to carry small knives on airplanes. The Transportation Security Administration says starting April 25th, passengers on U.S. flights can bring a Swiss army type knife on board. The blade can not be longer than 2.36 inches. The flight attendants union is condemning the decision saying it’s dangerous for passengers.
Other items allowed include lacrosse sticks, ski poles and small, souvenir baseball bats. The TSA however will still not allow box cutters like the ones used by the 9/11 hijackers.
