Worker Who Refused to Perform CPR on Leave

The worker who refused to perform CPR at a senior care facility in California is on voluntary leave while the case is being investigated.  The staff member, who identified herself as a nurse, refused to give CPR to a woman, saying it was against the facility’s policy to give CPR, the woman died before paramedics arrived.  The parent company of the senior living facility said the incident resulted from a complete misunderstanding of the company’s emergency care policy.
