Lisa Anne Ruoss
A woman armed with a box-cutter tried to hold up the GasMart at 653 Columbia Avenue at 12:30am today. Lisa Anne Ruoss, 32, of the 500 block of Manor Street, entered the store brandishing the box-cutter and demanding money. Ruoss tried to get behind the register area and the clerk fought back. In the struggle, the clerk was cut on his hand. Witnesses called 9-1-1 and a customer helped the clerk restrain Ruoss until police arrived.
After her arrest, Ruoss was transported taken to a local hospital for an evaluation. While inside the emergency treatment area of the hospital, Ruoss lit a set of bed sheets on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries. The fire did cause the halls of the hospital to be filled with smoke and police say the treatment operations at the hospital were disrupted.
Ruoss is charged with Robbery and Risking or Causing a Catastrophe, both felonies.

this is what drugs and alcohol abuse does to people. i should know, unfortunately she is my daughter and i have not been able to help her for years.

You have a lot of nerve to write that kind of comment Terri. You have done nothing but ruin that poor girls life and she is the way she is because of you. I hope you think about that for the rest of your life. I've tried to be quiet and not say to you what needs to be said, but I can't keep quiet on this. Yes, Lisa is an adult and has control over her own actions, but if it weren't for you, she wouldn't have been mentally disturbed. I know the truth – always remember that.

I know what happened when Lisa was a baby, I know what kind of wife you really were and THAT is the reason for drinking, etc. I have no problem in telling you how it really is. If you think you can get the better of me, you REALLY have no idea who you are dealing with.

Well, Teri, I just have to go ahead and thank you for the life I do have. I am so very happy in my life. The point I should have been making is this: We are all products of our upbringings. Some were good, some were bad, some in the middle. While as adults we have the ability to make choices, those choices in times of stress could be made based upon life experiences in our childhood.

Lisa has had many many issues. Many attempts, by many individuals, to get her on the straight path have failed. I just didn't want people to read what she has done and automatically assume the worst of her. When she is clean, she is a good person and has a loving heart. She just needs to learn to stay away from the people she gets involved with.
I'm not saying everything has been your fault, her dad's fault or even her's. It's just a confluence of events that has unfortunately led her to where she is now. And by the way, you don't know me, you've never met me, you don't know my personality or my values. I in all ways trust in my Lord and Savior. I'm not hiding behind an alias. I'm what I said – outraged and also the most priviledged wife in the world and honored to be known as Mrs. Heather Ruoss.
