A Cumberland County man faces charges after police say he paid a 10-year-old girl to engage in sexual acts with him and then video taped the encounters. Steven R. Brungard, 63, of Enola, is charged with 4 counts of deviate sexual intercourse with a child less than 13, 2 counts of manufacturing child pornography, 1 count of promoting prostitution of a child, 2 counts of aggravated indecent assault on a child less than 13, 2 counts of indecent assault on a child under 13, 2 counts of possession of child pornography, invasion of privacy and corruption of minors.
Authorities began looking into Brungard on March 6 after receiving a tip accusing Brungard of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl. Police executed a search warrant of his home along the first block of East Manor Avenue in East Pennsboro Township and uncovered cameras and videos of the sexual exploits. Investigators say Brungard admitted to paying the victim in cash if she agreed to engage in sexual acts with him.
Brungard told police he paid the victim $25 to model specific outfits while he masturbated, $50 if she would wear a bra and underwear while he masturbated, $70 if she would model nude while he masturbated and $120 if she performed oral intercourse on him.
Brungard also video taped the child with a hidden camera while she used the bathroom without her knowledge, police said.
He was arraigned and the judge denied him bail. Brungard remains in Cumberland County Prison.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 11 a.m. on March 25.
A joint news conference by the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office and the East Pennsboro Township Police Department is slated for Monday morning at 10:30 a.m.
Police are seeking assistance from the public in this investigation. Anyone who may have information about this incident or know of other children who may have had contact with Brungard is asked to contact police at 717-732-3633.

We need to take these sick people. Take them to the public square and turn the tv cameras on and show the world what happens when you touch an innocent child. Then hang him!

Capturing a child molester is a great news after all but this is a warning to everyone specially to parents to always watch over to their kids’ whereabouts as cases like this have become rampant these days.
