
Weddings are getting more expensive. And it could be a sign of a better economy. Brides and grooms are spending more to tie the knot now than they did before the recession. Wedding site, theknot.com, says the average wedding bill cost just $28,000 last year. Spending increased in almost every category from photographers to invitations. Couples in Manhattan spent the most averaging nearly $77,000. And Alaskans were the most frugal with the average ceremony totaling $15,000.
