Davidson controlled its destiny after a victory against the College of Charleston. The Wildcats defended its Southern Conference title with a 74-55 win on Monday night. Junior De’Mon Brooks led the way with 24 points and eight rebounds for the Cats.
After 19 years, the James Madison Dukes make a return to the tournament. JMU held off Northwestern to win the Colonial Athletic Association championship game with the final score 70 – 57. The Dukes will make its first appearance since 1994.
Gonzaga rounds out Monday night claiming the West Coast Conference championship game against St. Marys. The No. 1 Bulldogs take the 11-point decision in its battle with the Gaels, 65-51.
