SLOW SLIDE: What an amazing weekend! I hope you had a chance to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine and mild air! We’ll keep the mild weather for another day, but each and every day we shave off a few degrees as temperatures slip back into a colder regime.
Today, expect clouds to be the dominant factor. Temps will rise nicely into the upper 50s to low 60s, with the warmest areas to the north and west. Southeasterly winds will kick around through the day. We look to remain dry.
RAIN ARRIVES: A cold front slips through tonight, ushering in rain beginning in the evening hours, moving from west to east. Rain will continue overnight with some moderate to heavy pockets while you’re asleep. We’ll see temps fall to the upper 40s. The rain tapers during the early morning hours on Tuesday. Most locations will see up to a half an inch of rain. Some sunshine will return for the afternoon on Tuesday. Highs are stuck in the low 50s.
COOLING: The cooling continues as a pocket of colder air arrives for mid week. Wednesday, we’ll see mostly cloudy skies with temps held in the middle and upper 40s. Some showers may spark as upper level energy spirals overhead. The coldest air settles in for Thursday, with a strong northwesterly breeze. Temps will only hit 40°. We level out on Friday in the low 40s with some sunshine returning to mix with the clouds.
WEEKEND: The weekend forecast is looking slightly below average in the temp department. We’re working on the timing of a quick moving system that will bring rain. It looks like Saturday is dry, for now, for the parades in Harrisburg and York. Temps will be in the upper 40s. Right now, we have the rain arriving at night and lingering into Sunday. We’ll need to monitor for changes though so stay tuned.
Have a marvelous Monday and enjoy the mild weather with the extra sunlight this evening!
