Columbia Gas of PA Launching Pipeline Improvement Project in Windsor and York Townships

Columbia GasColumbia Gas of Pennsylvania, Inc. will be making a significant investment to upgrade existing facilities in York beginning this week.

The $3.25 million project, which is expected to last through July 2013, will involve Cape Horn Road (State Road 24), East Prospect Road (State Road 124) and Windsor Road, with additional work on surrounding streets. Construction will take place Monday through Friday between 7AM and 6PM on township roads and between 6PM and 5AM on state roads with possible lane closures and detours during working hours.

The construction work will require a temporary interruption of natural gas service for individual customers while their service is connected to the new gas main. Columbia will make personal contact with customers prior to shutting off service and to schedule service restoration.

As a reminder, all Columbia employees and contractors carry identification cards bearing their name, photograph and identification number.
