Our Futurecast RPM model shows spotty light rain showers, with some snow showers, around 4 P.M. Wednesday.

Wall to wall sunshine gives way to clouds during the early afternoon as a cool pool of air slides in from the west.  Winds increase out of the west to 10 to 15 miles per hour, helping the cooler air rush in.  It’s those westerly winds pushing the cold air west that helps create those clouds, and even a few light rain or snow showers.  The clouds and winds contain temperatures to the middle to upper 40s during the afternoon.  Locations to the far northwest of the region are likely stuck in the lower 40s.  Wind chill values feel like the 30s at times.
