Police tried to pull over a driver for driving without headlights last night in Carlisle and were instead led on a dangerous chase. The truck took off, southbound on South Hanover Street, ignoring the police car’s lights and siren. The truck crossed all four lanes of Noble Boulevard, striking two signs on the southwest corner of the intersection. The driver, Karisa Sanchez, 21, of Carlisle, then abandoned the truck while it was still moving.
Sanchez was quickly taken into custody, and the truck rolled another 500feet until it came to rest on some bushes in front of the Metro Bank. Sanchez is charged with fleeing and Eluding, Recklessly Endangering, Reckless Driving, Driving Without a License and Numerous summary traffic offenses.
