A 50/50 WEEKEND

Clouds continue to hang across Central Pennsylvania through the evening hours, with a few evening showers possible as a weak front approaches from the north.  The overnight period is mainly dry, but a quick moving system brings the chance for some light scattered snow showers by daybreak.  Lows are near the freezing mark.  Saturday remains chilly and unsettled, with the chance for light rain and snow showers throughout the day.  The umbrella is needed if you plan on attending any parades.  Some light accumulations are possible on grassy surfaces, particularly to the northwest, but it does not look to be a big deal.  Highs struggle to reach 40 degrees.  Sunday, high pressure moves in and dries us out.  Sunshine returns, with highs in the lower to middle 40s.

UNSETTLED START NEXT WEEK

Another storm system heads this way Monday, bringing widespread rain showers to the area.  A good soaking is likely, with highs in the lower 40s.  Rain lasts overnight Monday, and tapers early Tuesday, with temperatures rising into the middle 40s.

SPRING ARRIVES

The first day of spring looks mainly dry Wednesday, but a stray shower cannot be completely ruled out.  There’s some sunshine as well.  Thursday and Friday are quiet, with a mixture of clouds and some sun.  Highs remain a bit below average, in the 40s.

Have a great weekend!
