The Lower Dauphin School District released a statement this afternoon after Board member, Rodney Nissley, was charged by Hummelstown Police for sexual assault. The following was released by the district:
The District is saddened to learn of the charges filed by the Hummelstown Borough Police Department against Mr. Rodney Nissley, a member of the Board of School Directors. The District has and will continue to cooperate with the Hummelstown Police Department.
Mr. Nissley is a resident of Hummelstown Borough and has been a member of the Board of School Directors since December 2008, representing the Borough of Hummelstown and part of South Hanover Township. On Thursday, March 14th, he resigned his seat on the school board.
The district expresses its concern for all the parties affected by this case and will have no further comment on this matter as it proceeds through the criminal justice system.
