Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal bus crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. One person was killed in the accident that happened around 9 a.m. this morning at mile marker 227 in the east bound lane near the Carlisle exit.
Police say 23 passengers were on board at the time of the crash. Three of those passengers were flown by helicopter to Hershey Medical Center. The remaining 19 were all taken by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment. The bus was carrying passengers traveling from Seton Hill College and no information on their conditions is being released at this time.
Diesel fuel spilled during the accident and DEP is on scene cleaning up the spill. WPMT Fox43 will bring updates as they become available.
