Celtic Classic dog show draws thousands to York County

Hundreds of people packed the York Expo Center Sunday for the Celtic Classic dog show.

The event benefits the York Kennel Club and draws people from all over the world.

Organizers say the dog show is the second largest on the East Coast behind Westminster.

“We brought in almost 3,200 dogs a day without any issues, we’ve had hundreds of spectators through with no issues, we managed to just bring the whole dog show community together from all over the country and beyond which is a huge ordeal,” said Jeff Moore, VP of the York Kennel Club.

The York Kennel Club donated $1,500 to the York Area Regional Police Department to help pay for a new K-9 partner. They also gave K-9 respirators to every fire department in York County.
