Five PA teams make NCAA basketball tourney

Five teams from Pennsylvania will be playing in the NCAA Tournament and March Madness.  In the west bracket, Pitt, the 8 seed which features Lancaster County product Lamar Patterson, will play the 9 seed Wichita State in Salt Lake City on Thursday.  La Salle, which features Red Land grad Steve Zach, is also in the west bracket and they are a 13 seed.  They take on Boise State Wednesday night in Dayton.

In the south bracket, Villanova, a 9 seed, will face the 8 seed North Carolina in Kansas City on Friday.  In the east bracket, Temple, a 9 seed, battles the 8 seed, NC State in Dayton on Friday.  Finally, Bucknell, the 11 seed which features former Steel-High star Ryan Hill, will take on the 6 seed Butler in Lexington on Thursday.
