A York county barn that some people have been trying to save is set to be torn down Tuesday. The old Avalong Dairy Barn in Springettsbury Township will be demolished to make way for a new Susquehanna Bank branch. Community members have been trying to save the barn but the building is not in its original state so there’s no historical significance. The building also housed a Pfaltzgraff Factory store in the 80′s and early 90′s.

Hmm, like we need another bank. The barn is a landmark, and banks are a dime a dozen these days.
