Cumberland Valley School District fires man accused of child molestation

A bus driver  and supplemental police employee with the Cumberland Valley School District  has been fired by the school board after police say he sexually molested a child under the age of 13. Stanley E. Richwine, 61, of Upper Allen Township, was arrested March 1 and faces numerous charges including  rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and sexual assault.

Board members approved Richwine’s termination, effective March 4,  at a Monday night school board meeting,

Richwine is in Cumberland County Prison.

His next court appearance is scheduled for June 20.

Richwine was placed on administrative leave after school officials learned of the charges against him.
