Pennsylvania Marine Killed in Blast

A Pennsylvania man is one of the seven marines killed in a training exercise explosion in Nevada Monday night.  Karen Perry of Dubois says her 19-year-old son, Josh Martino, was among those killed after a mortar exploded.  Martino had been stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina and was in Nevada for training before being shipped to Afghanistan.  Martino had joined the corp in July of last year and was set to be married later this year.

Josh Martino was a fine young man who was there for his friends. I have known Josh for Four years I met him one day when went to see my uncle Ryan Lee. From that day I talked to him. His nickname was Tino from my family and he was always the nice one he treated everyone like family. I rember one day we went climbing down at Bigglers rock and he got dared to climb up a rock and Tino would try some crazy stuff that’s just how he was. Well I was walking around and I saw a hand so I went over because I thought someone slipped. When I got over to the edge I found it was Tino and that he couldn’t get to the top do I ran got a man to help me ran back and pulled him up. That day one of the scariest but when I herd on the news that something happened at a marine camp and 7 marines were killed I was afraid that he was one of them and it ended up being him and my family cried all that night because Martino was family to us. So in honor of him i am posting some memories of him to keep him alive so everyone will rember him and know who he was and what he did for our country. I am praying for his family and Anna will be at his memorial service
