Army women’s contributions throughout history

ladies in armyThe Army War College celebrated the contributions of women throughout the history of our nation’s armed forces.

The month-long celebration was capped off with a  presentation by Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Dee Ann McWilliams at the Army Heritage and Education Center.

McWilliams’ lecture entitled, “You’ve Come a Long Way Soldier!,” provided an insight to the  progress of women’s service in the Army.

Now the President of the Army Women’s Foundation, McWilliams’ Army career included a variety of personnel management-related assignments. She retired in March 2003.

The USAHEC’s Women’s History Month lecture was free to attend.
