An Oregon Public High School installs unisex bathrooms after some transgender students speak up. Grant High School has ten transgender students who feel uncomfortable using the bathroom facilities. The school took action and made six unisex bathroom stalls. This new idea became the cover story of the school’s monthly magazine.

“ One of the top reasons that transgender students drop out of high school is because they feel they don’t have somewhere safe to go to the bathroom,” says Kristyn Westphal , Vice Principal of Grant High School

Since the stalls opened, other school districts have developed interest installing similar bathrooms.
