The Senators have eight of the Washington Nationals’ top prospects including third baseman Anthony Rendon.

The players say they have learned a lot in spring training these past few months and look for that knowledge to make a difference on the diamond this season.

” I am more calm,” says Senators’ Anthony Rendon, “last year, I guess I was trying to run into it…trying to prove people I can do this. I have a calmness this year and hopefully it goes on into the season.”

The Senators will face Bowie for its first game of the season on Thursday night, players like pitcher Nathan Karns there is a lot of talent on this year’s roster.

” If you don’t know anybody on this team,” says pitcher Nathan Karns, ” I feel like this team inside and out… we’re fully loaded.  Every spot is filled, our bullpen is great, our starting rotation is great; I think we are a very well put together team. Watch out, Eastern League. Here we come.”

The first pitch is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday.
