Finally, the last of the chilly breezy days for awhile, now we can expect temperatures to warm up. However, we have to get through a very cold night with lows expected to drop into the low to mid 20s.  High pressure builds in from the west allowing skies to clear and winds to decrease setting up a perfect night for radiational cooling.  We will flirt with the record low of 24° as temps expected to get quite cold.

NICER CALMER THURSDAY

High pressure builds in at the surface allowing for plenty of bright sunshine and a calmer day across the Lower Susquehanna Thursday but a southern system will bring in some high clouds mid-day.  Highs will top out in the mid 50s.

SHOWERS STILL IN QUESTION FOR FRIDAY?

There is still a small threat for showers for Friday; however, the models are now trending toward a drier day for much of the Lower Susquehanna.  If we do get showers, they would mainly be along the PA/MD line.  Clouds will be in place as the system moves to our east.  We’ll stay consistent and keep the threat for a few showers especially early to mid afternoon.  Temperatures will be a bit cooler in the low 50s south where the clouds will be thicker and showers may fall, further north, a little more sunshine will mix through and temperatures could reach the mid to upper 50s.

NICE WARMUP FOR THE WEEKEND!

Hopefully, we can finally enjoy a nicer weather pattern going into next weekend and the second week of April.   Saturday we’ll see plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid 50s. The flow will switch and we’ll tap into finally some much more seasonal like temperatures.  Temperatures should be flirting with 60s and we may finally get there Sunday.  Highs look to get into the low 60s under increasing clouds.  There are some indications that a frontal system may bringing a few showers in late Sunday then stall across the area Monday keeping the wet weather threat around.  But temperatures look to hit low 60s again Monday.

FINALLY SPRING WARMTH!

Temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will warm into the upper 60s to near 70.  There is a small threat for showers each day.
