One person injured in Horse and Buggy accident

Emergency crews in Ephrata Borough responded to a horse and buggy crash on the first block of East Main Street at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The horse became unruly and ran over it’s owner who was attempting to lead the horse on foot.

The horse continued pulling the buggy west on Main Street, striking two vehicles before stopping. After striking the vehicles, the buggy became detached and the horse took off on West Market Street, hitting two more vehicles.

The owner was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries. The horse sustained minor injuries and was picked up by additional family members.
