MORE 70S PLEASE: You asked for it and finally Mother Nature has delivered! After a very warm Monday, we’re back at it again. We’re sitting just comfortably enough under a ridge of warm air and that pattern will stick with us through Thursday. But once the next cold front arrives, our short lived taste of summer will be bumped out by some more seasonal April air.
Today, we’ll see the sunshine return through the day with intervals of clouds. We’re warm yet again as temperatures make a run for 80°. We could see a few showers or thunderstorms mix in later in the day. Wednesday, a stationary front is set up over northern PA and it may wiggle far enough south to spark a couple extra showers or thunderstorms. Otherwise, expect a warmer day with sun mixing through and highs in the low 80s! Thursday, we’re warm too with upper 70s, but later the cold front nears and brings chances for storms and rain to end the day.
Oh, our last 80° day was September 22, 2012.
BACK TO REALITY: Once the rain begins late Thursday, it’ll continue into Friday morning. When the rain finally tapers Friday afternoon, the cooler air will already have begun its arrival into the Commonwealth. Expect highs to only muster up middle 60s with a strong westerly breeze. Clouds will hang tough for a good chunk of the day.
WEEKEND: Saturday, we begin with some clouds and eventually turn to sunshine. It’s breezy too with highs only hitting the upper 50s as some cooler air settles in behind the front. Sunday, the wind subsides a bit and the skies will fill with sunshine. Expect low 60s for highs. We should be back to near 70 by Monday as warmer air pushes back in to the region.
