The Storm Prediction Center has updated its Convective Outlook, placing most of the eastern half of Pennsylvania under its “Slight Risk” category for severe weather this afternoon. The biggest threat with any storms that turn severe is strong, damaging wind gusts. Expect dangerous lightning and heavy downpours with any storms. a line of showers and thunderstorms are expected to cross the area this afternoon, beginning from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. out in our most western counties. They are expected to move east through the late afternoon and early evening hours. Be ready to take shelter immediately if you hear thunder or see lightning.
