Police arrested a 14-year-old boy for an armed robbery that occurred in Lancaster City on Sunday night. The 22-year-old victim told police he was walking in the first block of Reo Avenue when a group of three males approached him.
One of the suspects put a gun to the victim’s head and demanded money, police said.
After getting cash and a few of the victim’s belongings–the suspects fled the scene.
Officers spotted the trio in the 500 block of Weest King Street and were able to apprehend the 14-year-old boy. The two other suspects got away.
Police found the victim’s cell phone and a backpack containing a B.B. gun nearby. Authorities say it was the juvenile who held the gun during the robbery.
The 14-year-old was charged with robbery and taken to the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center.
