One week after explosions erupted at the finish line of the Boston Marathon area runners are honoring the victims in the best way they know how–by running.

Two events are being held Monday night in Harrisburg and York for people looking to show support for those affected by the Boston Marathon attacks.

The event in Harrisburg will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Front Street. Runners will meet at Front and State Streets to run across the Harvey Taylor Bridge and back.  Participants are encouraged to wear blue and yellow–the colors of the Boston Marathon–or any race tee shirt. For more information about the event, go to Bridge Run for Boston.

The event in York will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Flying Feet Sport Shoes at 1511 Mount Rose Avenue in Spring Garden Township. Organizers are planning a two-mile run. Walkers are also invited to participate.  More information about the run can be found on the companies facebook page.

Happening in May:

The drive is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
