Lancaster County – After two years of planning and construction, the Spooky Nook Sports complex is getting set to throw open its doors on June 3.  It’s is being called the biggest indoor sports complex in the country, with over 14 acres of basketball, baseball, rock climbing and everything in between.

The complex broke ground in May of 2012 and on June 3, the doors will swing open to the public.  Inside the 700,000 square foot building will include dozens of fields and courts including volleyball, basketball, tennis, futsal, field hockey, an indoor baseball diamond, 8 pitching stations and two rock climbing walls.

Spooky Nook is expected to bring in thousands of people for tournaments, events and meetings, bringing with it a large boost to the Lancaster County economy.  The building is just phase one in the process.  There are plans for outdoor fields and an another indoor facility of equal size but that is further down the road.
