Harrisburg Police investigate the city’s 8th homicide of the year. 25 year old Robert Diggs, Jr, was found Thursday morning dead of a gunshot wound at Harrisburg Park Apartments in the 1400 block of South 15th street. Police were tipped off to the shooting by a woman who had been at a party Tuesday night at an apartment. She told police that a man had been shot. The woman wasn’t from the area and didn’t know exactly where she had been.
Investigators working through the early morning hours eventually determined where the party took place. When detectives entered the suspected apartment they found Diggs body laying on the dining room floor. The time of death was fixed at just before 1 o’clock Wednesday morning.
Investigators spent most of the day interviewing people who had attended the party. Several more people are being sought for questioning. The investigation continues.
