Due to an incident involving Metro-North Railroad trains near Fairfield, Connecticut, Amtrak Acela Express and Northeast Regional service is suspended indefinitely between New York Penn Station and Boston.

Amtrak service is operating as scheduled between New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.  Springfield Shuttle service between New Haven, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts is also operating as scheduled.

Information about the restoration of service will be made when available.  Passengers ho have paid but choose not to travel due to this service disruption can receive a refund or a voucher for future travel.  Some reservations booked online can be modified or canceled on Amtrak.com or by using the free Amtrak mobile app.
