STORMY THURSDAY: The problematic cold front finally makes its grand appearance today in south central PA. Expect a cooler day than the past two with temps making it into the middle and upper 70s, sunshine dependent. We expect some warming early with only widely scattered showers or storms. By afternoon, the rain showers and thunderstorms fill in and cut off the warming. Some of the storms could produce some damaging winds, with a smaller hail threat. Showers and storms continue through the evening hours, tapering a bit overnight. We drop to the 50s tonight.
CHILLER: Friday will be an interesting day. A secondary front passes which brings much cooler air in on a stiff northwesterly breeze. We’ll hit our high in the low 60s early in the day, followed by continued cooling in the afternoon and evening. Expect a chilly and raw feeling. Scattered showers will accompany the cool down as well. But don’t get discouraged…the rest of the holiday weekend is looking good!
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Saturday, we’ll watch the clouds clear through the morning. We keep the cool breeze as temperatures climb to the upper 60s. Sunday starts cool with plenty of sun through the day. We top out in the low 70s with less of a breeze. For Memorial Day, it’s picture perfect. Low humidity and a few clouds will be the featured weather for the day. Highs hit the middle 70s. Enjoy the BBQ’s and parades!
MIDWEEK: We continue to warm Tuesday with some more clouds. Highs hit the mid to upper 70s. By Wednesday we’re warmer yet and back into the 80s. A few showers or storms may fire as well.
Have a great Friday eve today. Watch for a few strong storms this afternoon.
